Our Humanitarian Mission: Animation for Change

“Animation for change” is the core driving force behind Nady Studio, which was founded in 2019 by director Ahmed Nady, a political cartoonist and activist in human rights and social issues.

We believe our primary role is to amplify the voices of the marginalized and vulnerable around the world, conveying the human experience with genuine honesty and depth. When we tackle a specific issue, we immerse ourselves in its finest details. We don’t just observe from the outside; we become part of it. That is why most of our projects adopt a research-intensive approach, allowing us to provide real, effective, and creative solutions on the ground, rather than just fleeting visual content. Our experiences—such as the “Migratory Birds” project in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and our work with the Center for African Cultures in Germany—have always aimed to foster positive engagement and achieve tangible change.

Over the years, we have had the honor of collaborating with prominent partners such as the United Nations, the Red Cross, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Save the Children, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva.

One of our most significant recent milestones was having our film, produced with the Red Cross in Geneva, chosen as an Official Selection at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Masterclass: Building Future Generations

Nady Studio believes that its success is inherently tied to the growth of the community, and that passing on expertise is not a luxury, but a social duty and a responsibility toward all young creators. Driven by its commitment to supporting emerging generations and the animation industry, Nady Studio offers a variety of training programs.

In our internship program, trainees undergo a three-month live simulation of producing a complete animation project. They participate in every phase to gain genuine, practical experience that fully prepares them for the job market. They also attend free sessions hosted by volunteer experts from Egypt and the Arab world, alongside intensive courses designed to build essential skills.

Over the years, Nady Studio’s training program has helped graduate generations of creators who are now experts and pioneers in their fields, many of whom have gone on to establish their own studios in Egypt. This success is the fruit of continuous effort and is credited to the vision of Ahmed Nady, who has carried the responsibility of teaching and mentoring generations for over twenty years. Furthermore, the “Nady Studio Masterclass” covers all aspects of the industry to ensure its continuity and evolution, helping trainees develop their own unique footprint in storytelling.

Our Vision for the Future

Nady Studio embraces an ambitious future vision aimed at expanding the scope of our work and deepening our impact in the field of human rights. Through this vision, we seek to forge strategic partnerships with a broader range of organizations dedicated to humanitarian and human rights work, ensuring that we cover diverse dimensions that serve human causes in all their aspects.

On the artistic front, our strategic plans include producing a feature-length animated film, alongside developing and producing animated series that clearly highlight the identity, culture, and challenges facing communities in Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa.
